OU Foundation provides funding for 14 new education and research projects

Abstract:
The Ohio University Foundation has awarded $247,147 from the 1804 Fund to 14 new research and educational initiatives, according to a news release. Awards granted since the fund's inception total nearly $14 million.

Projects receiving awards during the 2007 funding cycle will range from the purchase of a solid-state, laser-pumped tunable dye laser system -- an essential tool in the study of nanomaterials -- to a collaboration between the School of Theater and the Theater for the New City that will culminate in productions of the new play "Knock Me a Kiss."
