State funding validates A&T-UNCG initiative
Abstract:
Plans by two UNC institutions to create a Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering are promising enough to win $58 million in funding from the General Assembly.
Not bad for a project that doesn't involve UNC-Chapel Hill, N.C. State and the Research Triangle Park.
Instead, the ambitious undertaking is happening in Greensboro. The JSNN will occupy a site in the new Gateway University Research Park and will be operated by N.C. A&T and UNCG.
