Science grant aims students toward technology
Abstract:
A $900,000 grant will provide 20 school districts in the region and around the state with innovative courses, lectures with top scientists, and cutting-edge projects in an effort to entice more students to pursue technical careers in the state.
Education Connection, the regional education support agency for western Connecticut, piloted the program over the last several years. The proposed courses include Biotechnology, Innovation, Research & Development, Nanotechnology Research & Development, Rapid Prototyping & Next Generation Manufacturing, and Robotics Science and Engineering.
