Abstract:
Plextronics, Inc. -- a world leader in developing and delivering active layer technology for printed electronic devices -- announced today that James Dietz has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. Dietz will lead Plextronics' sales and business development strategy with the goal of expanding customer and partner relationships as the company prepares to commercially launch
Plexcore(TM) HIL for Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). The company also recently launched a sampling program for Plexcore PV for organic solar cells.
Dietz has more than 12 years experience in the technical semiconductor
industry, most recently as the Marketing Director for Advanced Technology
Materials, Inc., a $300 million supplier of specialty chemicals and
materials to the semiconductor industry. At ATM, he led a major business
unit that provided specialty materials for semiconductor ion-implantation
processes. That unit saw 18 to 20 percent growth per year during his
tenure.
"Jim is a first-rate business professional. His extensive experience in
the semiconductor industry and his background bringing commercial products
to market are clearly relevant to the significant role he will play at
Plextronics," stated Andrew Hannah, President and CEO of Plextronics. "We
are excited to have Jim on our team and look forward to his contributions
toward the advancement of the company and our Plexcore technologies."
Dietz said his interest in joining the company stemmed from
Plextronics' position in the industry. "Plextronics is building a
world-class operation and is positioned to be a leader in the printed
electronics industry. It's an exciting time to be a part of this tremendous
management team and to be part of an industry where displays, solar cells,
RFID tags and other low-cost electronic devices will be printed for pennies
and forever change the way technology affects our lives," Dietz said.
Dietz holds an Executive Masters in Technology Management from the
University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The
Johns Hopkins University.
