Kalam may become honorary professor at Anna University
Abstract:
After he demits office on July 24, President A P J Abdul Kalam is expected to go back to his first love -- teaching -- at the Madras Institute of Technology in Chennai, his alma mater.
Anna University Vice Chancellor D Viswanathan told PTI from Chennai: "President Kalam will be an honorary professor at Anna University after he demits office."
Kalam, who was professor in technology and social transformation at the university between November 2001 and June 2002 before being elected to the country's top post, is likely to teach nanotechnology and aeronautical and space engineering.
