Taiwanese leader to rediscover India

Abstract:
There are already 100,000 Taiwanese manufacturing companies in the mainland. Taiwan has a matchless record of more than 90% of the world's market share in computers (desktop and notebooks), 70% in semiconductors, 50% in LCD (liquid crystal display) and 44% in IC (integrated circuit) design. Taiwan is streets ahead of most countries in the areas of biotechnology and nanotechnology which India can benefit from.

The only way Taiwan will survive in the future is to be open, flexible and pragmatic, said Ma. And India has suffered because of a clear lack of all these mantras that Ma thought would help Taiwan ensure its future.
