AIHA Announces 2008 Professional Development Courses Call for Proposals

FAIRFAX, VA | Posted on June 13th, 2007

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) announced today that it will be accepting proposals for professional development courses (PDCs) to be held Saturday and Sunday, May 31-June 1, 2008, in conjunction with the 2008 American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Expo (AIHce) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2007.

AIHA offers this competitive program to promote occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) excellence by offering fresh, dynamic solutions through its superior professional education program. PDCs provide information on new standards, regulations, and innovations in technology; traditional occupational and safety issues; new chemical and biological threats; and upcoming career challenges.

There is no fee to submit a PDC program proposal. Selected presenters will receive an honorarium. All submissions must be received online by August 15, 2007. Presenters and students at the PDCs in 2008 will earn certification maintenance (CM) points, continuing education units (CEUs), and continuance of certification points (COCs) to obtain and maintain professional certifications.
