Abstract:
Company Executives to Address 35th Annual JPMorgan Technology Conference and NSTI Nanotech 2007 Conference and Trade Show
NeoPhotonics Corporation, a leading developer of optical components for fiber-to-the-home, metro, long-haul and reconfigurable networks, today announced that President and CEO Tim Jenks and senior technical staff will present, respectively, at the JPMorgan Technology Conference in Boston and at the NSTI Nanotech 2007 event in Santa Clara, California.
Mr. Jenks will discuss the company's latest product innovations, technology roadmap and market vision on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, 10 a.m. Eastern Time, at the Westin Boston Waterfront hotel.
Also this week, NeoPhotonics will make two presentations at the NSTI Nanotech 2007 conference that illustrate how the company is utilizing nano-scale fabrication and metrology to enhance the performance of the company's components for optical fiber systems.
In the first presentation, senior technical staff from NeoPhotonics along with representatives of LightSmyth Technologies will deliver the paper: "Engineering the Spectral Response of Waveguide Bragg Gratings Patterned by Deep Ultraviolet Nanolithography" today at 1:50 p.m. Pacific Time in the Santa Clara Convention Center, as part of the "Nano-Electronics and Photonics" symposium. Waveguide Bragg gratings are compact building block structures that can be used to build complex optical circuits utilizing NeoPhotonics' patented planar lightwave circuit (PLC) technology.
On Tuesday May 22nd, the NeoPhotonics paper: "Application of Nano-Technology in Planar Silica Waveguides to Enhance the Performance of AWG's and Other Standard Devices," also given as part of the Nano-Electronics and Photonics Symposium (poster session), will describe how NeoPhotonics is utilizing the tools, metrology and methods being developed for nanometer-resolution technology to achieve substantial improvements in the performance of commercial PLC optical components such as arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) MUX/DMUX filters.
