A new generation for aerospace predicted
Abstract:
India's president has anticipated a "new generation" of aerospace products and services, based on the convergence of nanotechnology, biotechnology and information technology.
He particularly pointed to developments in the field of closed, curved carbon nano tubes - a class of molecules that have been shown to have surprising mechanical and electrical properties.
"This has tremendous aerospace applications," President Kalam argued, pointing to their potential to transform electronics design and dramatically lower the cost of space research.
