Emory planning research center
Abstract:
Emory University is planning a 300,000-square-foot to 500,000-square-foot clinical and research building at its Midtown campus -- a move designed to help make Emory and Crawford Long national leaders in medical research, and help strengthen ties between Emory and Georgia Tech.
That move aims to combine Emory's medical resources with Tech's scientific strengths in molecular engineering and nanotechnology. A closer partnership between the two schools could spur medical advancements and boost Atlanta's fledgling biosciences industry, doctors and researchers say.
