Strength Through Diversity
Abstract:
Siemens and General Electric are tightly involved in evolving energy technologies which range from electrical power plants that run on clean burning coal to wind energy. Both are involved in the nascent nanotechnology fields.
Materials made using nanotechnology are engineered at the molecular level and present a vast array of potential advances.
Such materials currently play a role in products that, overall, generated about $1 trillion in revenue in 2006. That number, according to strategic consultant Lux Research, should grow to $1.5 trillion by 2010.
