Work On Tech Industries, Rafidah Tells Malaysian And US Firms
Abstract:
According to Rafidah, R&D in this sector can tap on the country's extensive biodiversity and local knowledge in traditional and complementary medicine to develop leads for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.
"Malaysia will continue to promote new products and technologies in the ICT (information and communications technology) sector. These include high technology-based products using wireless and convergence technology," she said.
Among the new and emerging technologies are nanotechnology, micro-electromechanical systems, wireless technology, photonics and alternative energy sources such as solar cells and fuel cells.
