Ten member companies of ACLIMA present four R+D+i projects to the national scientific research plan
Abstract:
Risks and opportunities of nanotechnologies for the environment (ACLIMA and INASMET-TECNALIA). The budget is 179,485 euros over a period of one year. The goal of the project is to identify the opportunities and risks for the environment by advances in nanotechnological research and for enterprises active in the sector. This will be based on an exhaustive evaluation on the waste of the rapid introduction of nanotechnology products into the markets. What is sought is a clear picture of the possible positive and negative environmental impacts, the estimated time period for the introduction of the technology, as well as the perspectives for norms which will probably arise within the remit of the REACH Regulation of the European Union, one of the basic principles of which is precaution.
