Useful definitions for the most commonly employed terminology in HDTV.
Abstract:
Pixel:A dot of color in a display composed of red, green, and blue subpixels so that the single spot can make various colors. While LCDs make use of what are technically known as pixels, plasmas use phosphor dots as pixels, and SED technology uses individual carbon nanotube electron emitters.
