India's proposals on nuclear deal to be conveyed this week

Abstract:
Concerned over certain elements in the newly-enacted United States law on civil nuclear cooperation with it, India will present its proposals to be incorporated in the bilateral agreement that is under negotiation to operationalise the deal.

The HTCG is deliberating on ways to push forward cooperation between the two countries in dual-use technology. The group has identified nanotechnology, biotechnology and defence as the areas of focus. An emphasis is being laid on enabling partnership between the private sectors of the two countries.
