UD requests funds for science program, renovations
Abstract:
The University of Delaware would like more state funding in its fiscal year 2008 operating budget for needs including implementing a science and engineering program, as well as for renovations and remodeling, university President David Roselle told the Joint Finance Committee on Tuesday.
Roselle asked for $1.225 million for the Delaware Excellence in Science and Engineering Program. He listed five priority areas for investment within that program: agriculture, human health, complex environmental systems, alternative energy and nanotechnology.
