Myers gives $1.5M to Bar-Ilan
Abstract:
The David and Inez Myers Foundation has donated $1.5 million to Bar-Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel, to create the Myers Chair of Gene Expression and Infectious Disease.
The first Myers Chair incumbent is Professor Shulamit Michaeli, who ranks among the foremost RNA (ribonucleic acid) researchers in the world. The chair will strengthen the medical research of Bar-Ilan University's Nanotechnology Center, funding both basic and applied research.
