Startup Companies Aim To Score Big With Tiny Technologies
Abstract:
Within a decade, 2 million workers globally could be employed in nanotech-related jobs that produce more than a trillion dollars worth of goods annually, according to a government estimate.
A growing number of local startup nanotech companies are looking to cash in. In High Point, researchers work on improving a range of consumer products. In Whitsett, a factory uses nanomaterials to make high-tech coatings. In Yadkinville, a company works on materials for fighter planes.
