UI professors experiment with nanotechnology

Abstract:
University of Idaho scientists David McIlroy and Giancarlo Corti are working to get a big bounce in real-world applications with tiny springs.

They are building nanosprings that might be used for such things as DNA analysis and nanospring-based gas storage tanks for hydrogen-fueled cars.
