Feds send big bucks for research
Abstract:
One of the project proposals is a $1.3 million request from the Central Michigan University Research Corp. to develop a dendrimer-based water filtration system. The system would focus on cleaning up perchlorate, a byproduct of fuel and munitions that commonly contaminates military bases and thus far has proven difficult and expensive to clean up. Dendritic Nanotechnologies will work with CMU faculty and a scientist at CalTech on the project, said Brent Case, director of technology business development.
