Groundwork begins for ‘innovation pipeline' in nanotechnology
Abstract:
Work is set to start at ASU on building an “innovation pipeline” for turning discoveries in nanotechnology into business ventures. Groundwork for the endeavor – teaching students how to construct and use that pipeline – is kicking off with support from a $39,500 grant recently awarded by the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance to a group of professors in ASU's Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The funding will help launch an undergraduate honors course in the fall on the emerging field of nanotechnology and its commercial potential.
