ISS Astronauts Prepare for Launch and Landing
Abstract:
The two astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) are finalizing plans for their Earth return while a fresh crew and Brazil’s first spacefarer prepare to launch toward the orbital laboratory.
(Marcos Pontes, Brazil's first astronaut) will make history as Brazil’s first astronaut to fly, and has been training for his flight since 1998. He will spend about eight days aboard the ISS conducting nanotechnology experiments before returning to Earth with the Expedition 12 crew, he has said.
