Priming pre-university education for nanotechnology
Abstract:
The approach of just-in-time education (JITE) integrates technosciences and humanities at the preuniversity level, so that both future technoscientists and nontechnoscientists develop a common
understanding, possibly even a common language, to deal with social, ethical, legal and political
issues that arise from the development of nanotechnology and its convergence with other technoscientific developments. JITE is intended not to replace, but to supplement and enhance, current best practices in education. (PDF)
