Nanotechnology: It's a super-small world

Abstract:
A Duke team has used DNA to make structures that could lead to new, super-small devices -- including electronic circuits 10 times smaller than those now possible.

Professors Thom LaBean and Chris Dwyer, joined by other Duke researchers, synthesized the DNA, exploiting its ability to organize itself into grids on which they formed patterns of molecules measuring as little as 5 nanometers across.
