School receives sizable bequest
Abstract:
The announcement came as the university awarded more than 850 undergraduate and graduate degrees, including its first-ever doctorate in biology with a concentration in nanotechnology.
Oliver Tang's research involved devising a way to use nanotechnology, the manipulation of atom-sized bits of matter, to build computer chips that could help detect tuberculosis and perhaps other diseases.
