Comprehensive winner: University of Waterloo
Abstract:
This year, to remain at the forefront of innovation, Waterloo created new undergraduate programs in nanotechnology -- engineering on an exceptionally small scale. Waterloo established 21 nano-tech teaching positions to handle its first class of 110 students. "Even if a tenth of the predictions for nanotechnology come true," says Lever, "it's going to improve the performance of just about everything."
