Moore’s Law For Photovoltaics
Abstract:
What the PV industry has lacked until recently has been the red in tooth and claw competitive innovation seen in the IT and communications industry. Now, however, a number of research groups have announced discoveries that could provide the basis for a new generation of low cost materials, albeit with lower efficiencies than conventional PV. These nano-technology based innovations could provide the basis for new materials that could be made into, for example, buildings or even tents that provide power for their occupants.
