Nanomaterials risk comparisons
Abstract:
Researchers from Rice University, US, Golder Associates, US, and XL Insurance of Switzerland have used insurance-industry techniques to examine the risks of manufacturing five different nanomaterials. While the study did not include the risks of the nanomaterials themselves, it concluded that the manufacturing processes for the nanomaterials presented fewer risks to the environment than industrial processes, such as oil refining.
