Abstract:
Premiere Canadian Filmmaker Finds Success In Futuristic Science
The documentary "N is for Nanotechnology" will have its Canadian television debut on G4TechTV Sunday, September 25th at 7:30pm.
Produced by local filmmakers in collaboration with some of the most innovative scientific minds in the field of nanotechnology in Canada, the documentary is an "everyman's" look at how the future will potentially be impacted by this sub-microscopic technology marvel.
"Nanotechnology is already revolutionizing the fields of materials science and chemistry and helping global business and industry sectors from medicine to aerospace achieve new and exciting breakthroughs," said Toronto Producer, Ken Hama. "The documentary takes a look at leading local and global scientists exploring their own theories and initiatives on the potential of nanotechnology today and tomorrow."
Referring to the documentary, David Voyle, editor of the nanotechnology website Nano Tsunami (www.voyle.net) noted, "If 'N' is for Nanotechnology, then 'E' is for Excellent."
Sensationalized through science fiction and the media, nanotechnology is often misunderstood by the general public. Will nano-sized robots perform molecular surgeries? Will self-replicating nanostructures help clean the environment or destroy the planet? "N is for Nanotechnology" explores the hypes, hopes and facts of this fascinating field as seen through the eyes of award-winning scientists, industry leaders and writers.
