Work-force issues today could be a crisis tomorrow
Abstract:
Kohn Twomey: ... there is a need to find highly skilled and educated workers to fill jobs in emerging technologies such as nanotechnology. While there are workers interested in filling these jobs, they need the appropriate training to perform this type of work. Such training is not cheap, but failure to build the pipeline for these new high-wage jobs is much more costly.
