Nanotech in U.S.: Find More Molecule Geeks Soon or Lose Out
Abstract:
Christine Peterson: We’ve gotten cocky over the years, coming to feel that it’s almost inevitable that the U.S. should lead in major new technologies. Biotech, computer hardware, the Internet—so many big things have started here. It started to seem like a law of nature.
This is nonsense. Sure, there were good reasons why the U.S. did as well as it did all those years. But those reasons aren’t all holding today, as nanotech ramps up.
