IEST Fall Conference 2005 Working Group Meetings

July 14, 2005

The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) will hold its annual Fall Conference November 13-16, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield in Schaumburg, Illinois (near Chicago O'Hare International Airport). The meeting will include approximately twenty different working group sessions to develop IEST Recommended Practices, as well as a variety of educational classes covering issues related to cleanrooms and controlled environments.

Three new working groups, Nanotechnology, Recommended Actions Following Disruptions in Cleanroom Operations, and Methods of Cleaning Cleanrooms and Equipment, will be meeting for the first time at the IEST Fall Conference. Members of existing IEST Working Groups and other interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend these new working group meetings, where the latest Recommended Practices will be discussed and developed. Join other industry professionals who exchange ideas and make recommendations on vital industry needs.

Other working group meetings will cover such topics as HEPA and ULPA Filters; Unidirectional Flow Clean-Air Devices; Garment System Considerations for Cleanrooms and Other Controlled Environments; Testing Cleanrooms; Testing ULPA Filters; Gas-Phase Adsorber Cells; Compendium of Standards, Practices, Methods, and Similar Documents Relating to Contamination Control; A Glossary of Terms and Definitions Relating to Contamination Control; Procedures for the Calibration or Validation of Equipment; Calibrating Particle Counters; Packaging Materials for Cleanrooms; HEPA and ULPA Filter Leak Tests; Design Considerations for Airborne Molecular Contamination Filtration Systems in Cleanrooms; Testing Fan Filter Units; Forum on Air Cleanliness Technology; and IEST-STD-CC1246D: Product Cleanliness Levels and Contamination Control Program.
