Xerox Canadian researchers awarded top prize
Abstract:
Researchers from the Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC) have won the 2005 Innovation and Leadership Award for Best Emerging Technology given by the CATAAlliance.
EA Technology is a patented method for creating toner using an environmentally-friendly chemical process. Using nanotechnology, the process for Xerox's EA Technology starts with making nanometer-sized polymeric particles and other toner ingredients, followed by controlled growth of these particles to micron-sized toner of exact size and shape.
