National Winners

Abstract:
The Heritage Heights Elementary School team of Tim Lock, Lenny Ranallo and Kyle Schick, led by enrichment teacher Norma Gentner, won second place in the Grades 4-6 category of the Toshiba/National Science Teachers Association 2005 ExploraVision Awards, a national contest that asks young scientists to design inventions that could be possible in the future. The Sweet Home kids won U.S. EE Savings Bonds worth $5,000 for designing an Appy-Bot, which uses nanotechnology to repair a patient's appendix.
