Politicians, Visas and Stock Options
Abstract:
Brian Halla, chairman and CEO of National Semiconductor: After our SIA dinner in Washington, we spent the next day talking about lack of funding for nanotechnology, lack of funding for research. It was kind of like a whine-in for all these initiatives that chase Moore’s Law.
Ed Sperling: What happened next in the meeting?
Halla: Greenspan leans across the table and says, ‘What’s the status of Moore’s Law?’ Barrett answers, ‘We believe Moore’s Law has another 15 years.’ Greenspan replies, ‘You guys have been saying Moore’s Law has another 15 years for the past 20 years.’
