Area has role in nano testing
Abstract:
"We don't want to say nanotechnology is bad. You cannot paint it with a single brush," said Nigel Walker, the lead toxicologist of the National Toxicology Program's nano-scale evaluation program. "But one has to accept that some of it probably will be bad."
Several federal agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, also are scrutinizing products emerging from a research field that acquired $1 billion in federal funding this year. Some Triangle scientists trying to make it big in nano-products are cheering them on.
