Look for Lessons Abroad, Futurist Tells Officials
Abstract:
Ed Barlow, a futurist from Michigan, lectured the group on emerging markets and the need to pay attention to the increasing economic power of China and India.
Barlow stressed the need for an educated work force that will be able to keep up with jobs that have not yet been created. He talked about nanotechnology and nurturing a crop of intelligent workers that companies will want to harvest.
