Silicon is key to exotic tech
Abstract:
Transistors made out of carbon nanotubes, fancy devices that use the spin of an electron rather than its charge, and photonic circuits are all very well, said Intel’s Paolo Gargini, but it is silicon that will enable their use in practice.
