Bottoms Up Research Aims for Molecular Calculator

Abstract:
A recently completed European project has developed technologies that could be used in molecular level electronic devices and systems.

While the 'Bottom-Up Nanomachines' project, BUN, does not seem to have quite fulfilled its stated goal of developing a single molecule- sized calculator, it has come up with a number of ideas and technologies which might be used in one or other nano-scale electronic devices.
