Surfactant boosts dip-pen nanolithography
Abstract:
Researchers at the California Institute of Technology, US, have come up with a technique that could expand the range of ink-substrate combinations used for patterning biotin and other biomolecules such as proteins. The scientists found that adding a surfactant to the ink enabled them to pattern maleimide-linked biotin onto mercaptosilanized glass by dip-pen nanolithography.
