Silica nanoparticles release antibacterial agent
Abstract:
Researchers at Iowa State University, US, have used room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) as a template for producing mesoporous silica nanoparticles. In turn, the nanoparticles acted as a controlled release agent for the antibacterial ionic liquids.
