Abstract:
Millions of pounds have been pumped into universities to improve their links with Tees Valley businesses. Teesside University has been awarded a record £3.1m from the Higher Education Funding Council for England and Durham University has received £2.5m. Teesside University will use its funding to provide a range of services to businesses including graduate start-up programmes and specialist help in areas such as nanotechnology and environmental technologies.
