Nano college propels UAlbany program
Abstract:
Louis Tomson showed a slide of puzzle pieces to a group of 175 eager listeners interested in learning anything they could about nanotechnology efforts at the state University at Albany. Tomson, the chairman of NanoTech Resources Inc., the nonprofit organization overseeing SUNY's nanotech research efforts, said key pieces of the puzzle at the state university's Albany NanoTech research site include International Sematech, a consortium of computer-chip makers, and Tokyo Electron Ltd., the manufacturer of tools used to manufacture computer chips.
