ICYS a shot in the arm for nation's researchers
Abstract:
The National Institute for Materials and Science (NIMS) [Japan], has embarked on an ambitious program aimed at creating a new breed of research facility, with the core members consisting of prominent young researchers of various fields of studies drawn from overseas. The facility is called the International Center for Young Scientists (ICYS). It has so far produced world-level achievements in such fields as nanotechnology, metallic materials, ceramics and superconducting substances.
