Nanotech Memories Emerge, Court Customers
Abstract:
The "third generation" of memory companies is quietly emerging from the shadows, pointing the way to future chips that could combine memory, logic, and reconfigurable elements. One member of the class, which has begun developing prototypes in a bid to lure customers, is Zettacore. Zettacore's chief executive said Tuesday that the company has developed a prototype chip and has begun to court investors using a technology that uses individual molecules to store data.
