TI builds 1-GHz DSP in 90-nm process
Abstract:
Setting marks in DSP speed and process geometry, Texas Instruments Inc. is sampling a 1-GHz device built in a 90-nanometer process. The device, which can execute 8 billion instructions in a second, the company said, is expected to cut costs and boost performance in video, wireless infrastructure, broadband networking and medical diagnostics applications.
