Bonn Physicists Film Individual Atoms Transported On A 'Conveyor Belt'
Abstract:
For the first time anywhere in the world physicists of the University of Bonn have filmed individual atoms as they are being transported across a space of just under a tenth of a millimetre on a kind of conveyor belt consisting of laser beams. Their results are published on Monday, 15.12., in the online magazine Optics Express; the videos can then be found here.
