Intel Demonstrates 65-nm Chip

Abstract:
Reveling in the basic technological truth that smaller is better, Intel on Monday demonstrated a 65-nanometer chip that would be one-half the size of chips currently in use and, when adopted by the mainstream, could advance computing to the next evolutionary step. "You've got this idea of Moore's law, which says the speed of transistors doubles every so often, and one of the ways chipmakers do this is to shrink the size of transistors," Morningstar equity analyst Jeremy Lopez told NewsFactor.
