DNA tiling assembles nanostructures

Abstract:
Scientists at Duke University, US, have used DNA nanostructures as templates to build silver nanowires and arrays of proteins. The nanostructures could have applications in preparing logical molecular devices. “We have made what we believe is the most efficient self-assembly system so far demonstrated for the construction of the smallest scale features (<10 nm), with the highest parallelism - at least billions of copies - and the highest degree of order,” researcher Thom LaBean told nanotechweb.org.
