NEC shrinks notebook fuel cell

Abstract:
Japanese electronics giant NEC claims it has significantly reduced the size of fuel cells for notebook computers, according to a statement from the company. By reaching 50 milliwatts per square centimeter, the firm has managed the most power output per unit volume of any fuel cell, claimed NEC. The development of the prototype was aided by a project for developing technologies and products applying carbon nanotube technology.
